Hanoi is a vibrant yet dreamlike city with contrasting architecture left by the French during the colonial period, alongside ancient East Asian architecture that dates back a thousand years. A homestay that complements the unique culture of this city with a meeting with the locals.
You can find many luxury hotels in Hanoi with complete facilities and excellent service. But what if you don’t want to spend too much money on accommodation and can better spend your money exploring more places?
Don’t worry, I found a list of homestays with prices that aren’t too high and offer all the comforts you could need to wander around experiencing the energy of Hanoi.
1. Momento Homestay
Each room at Momento has its own theme inspired by the most beautiful places in Vietnam: stay in the peaceful room in charming Hoi An, a room with specialties of ancient Hanoi and a simple and intimate room like Sapa.
Momento is located on Trang Thi Street, right in the center of Hanoi. Allow just a five-minute walk to reach Hoan Kiem Lake, Hanoi’s Old Quarter or Tong Duy Tan Street. There is a small kitchen where you can cook or make a cup of coffee to start the day. All common areas and amenities, such as libraries, kitchens and cooking utensils, washer and dryer are available.
On weekends or scheduled evenings, Momento has become a space for silk embroidery, painting, glass painting and handmade leather workshops.
