What to see in Phu Yen?
Phu Yen is a province on the south central coast, the north has Cu Mong Pass, the south is Ca Pass and the east is the East Sea.
Phu Yen has nearly 190 km of coastline with numerous bays, beaches, lagoons and scenic spots suitable for the development of marine tourism, resort tourism and ecotourism.
This destination still conceals many magnificent, wild and mysterious landscapes.
1. Ganh Da Dia
It is one of the most famous sites in Phu Yen. From a distance, Ganh Da Dia looks like a giant beehive with square blocks lined up next to each other tending towards the sea. The rocky beach is compared to thousands of black pearls that stand out among the blue sea and white waves .
Ganh Da Dia is located in Tuy An district, about 35 km north of Tuy Hoa town. This landscape is classified as a Special National Monument in 2021.
It is a paid place, with a ticket price of 20,000 VND/person.
The advice to visitors is to travel to this place in the time slot of 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. to avoid the blazing sun in summer in Phu Yen.
2. Ong Cop wooden bridge

Located less than a hundred meters from National Highway 1 – the section near the Vuon Mango slope, the bridge crosses the Binh Ba River (with the map showing Phu Ngan River). The bridge connects the northern villages of An Ninh Tay commune, Tuy An district, with Xuan Dai district, Song Cau town.

3. Nghinh Phong Tower
Nghinh Phong Tower is a new tourist symbol of Phu Yen, located at the intersection of Nguyen Huu Tho – Doc Lap (Tuy Hoa town). The tower was built taking inspiration from the iconic Ganh Da Dia.
The tower consists of 2 sides with 50 adjacent stone blocks on each side, in the middle of the two tallest rocks is a slot just enough for two people to stand, but every time the wind blows it will make a noise like music. The stone blocks are constructed of reinforced concrete, on the outside with granite slabs.
Especially at night, in the twin towers there is vivid 3D mapping and a laser light show.
4. Ganh Den Lighthouse
The attraction is located about 1 km north of Ganh Da Dia, An Ninh Dong commune, Tuy An district. Ganh Den lighthouse has two colors, red and white, with a height of 22 m at the -above sea level, emitting light for ships entering and leaving Xuan Dai Bay.
Standing on Ganh Den, you can observe the vast sea to the east and the scene of fishing boats.
5. Mui Dien
Cape Dien (Cape Dai Lanh) in Dong Hoa Town (Phu Yen) is known as one of the few places to welcome the first sunrise in Vietnam. This place is about 30 km south of Tuy Hoa town.
Mui Dien scenic spot costs 20,000 VND/person. To see the sunrise, if you are in Tuy Hoa town, you need to wake up at 4:30am and it takes more than 30 minutes to travel to Mui Dien.
The road to Mui Dien is quite steep, with a distance of more than 1 km and most people choose to travel on foot, sightseeing while “testing” their own health.
6. Vung Ro Bay
Vung Ro is a small bay in Hoa Xuan Nam commune (Dong Hoa town), about 4 km south of Mui Dien.
You can stop to see Vung Ro Bay and learn about the Ho Chi Minh Sea Trail. Then, if you’re still interested in exploring, learn how locals catch lobsters and observe the pace of life of fishermen .
7. Nhan Tower
Nhan Tower (Tuy Hoa Town, Phu Yen) was built around the 12th century, is one of the still intact Cham towers, typical of Cham culture.
The tower was built on the eastern slope of Nhan Mountain, 64 m above sea level. Because there are many swallows living and nesting, this place is named after this bird.
8. Mang Lang Church
Mang Lang Ancient Church is also located in Tuy An district, about 10 km from Ganh Da Dia scenic spot. This church was built 130 years ago – one of the oldest churches in Vietnam. In particular, it is the place where the first printed book of the national language of Vietnam is currently kept.
It is a free tourist attraction. Every year, the ancient church of Mang Lang welcomes tens of thousands of visitors.
9. Bai Xep
Like the picturesque Ganh Da Dia, the black rock beach of Bai Xep was formed during the volcano’s eruption. High-temperature molten lava flows suddenly solidify when they encounter seawater.

10. Hon Yen
More than 20 km from Tuy Hoa town, Hon Yen in Nhon Hoi village, Tuy An district is a favorite check-in point not only for tourists but also photographers thanks to its colorful and shaped land coral reefs . .
Visitors do not have to dive to see the coral but only when the tide goes out can they see the coral. According to locals, the tide is only low in the afternoon of the first days of the month, in the middle of the lunar month.
If you have time to dive far away, visitors can also see larger coral beneath the water surface to the east of Hon Yen. However, when observing or photographing corals, it is necessary to be careful in choosing a location to avoid stepping on them, and at the same time not throwing waste indiscriminately to protect the marine environment.
11. Nhât Tu Son
Nhat Tu Son is one of the most beautiful islands in Xuan Dai Bay, located in Xuan Tho Commune 1, Song Cau Town. According to National Highway 1A, this island is located in the north of Phu Yen province, about 50 km from Tuy Hoa town center.
The special thing about Nhat Tu Son is that the road crosses the sea to the island, which is submerged underwater and revealed only by the ebb tide, creating a breathtaking landscape full of stimulation for visitors.
12. Vuc Hom Waterfall
Vuc Hom Waterfall is located in Vinh Xuan Village, An Linh Commune, Tuy An District, about 45 km from Tuy Hoa Town. It is a waterfall located between basalt columns formed by nature in the same way as Ganh Da Dia of Phu Yen, so it is also known as “Ganh Da Dia on earth”.
The road up to here is not easy, but when you reach the finish line, you will be overwhelmed by the majestic scenery of the natural waterfall falling from a height of 20 meters. At the foot of the waterfall is a large fresh lake, surrounded by green forest trees.
Because the Vuc Hom waterfall area is still intact, there is no service, so visitors to explore should pay attention to go in groups, clean up the garbage before returning, and do not play risky games.
