Waking up to a photo of the magnificent Nho Que River and Ma Pi Leng Pass winding around the mountains and hills will definitely be an experience like no other.
The White Cliff of Ha Giang is a place that is not too strange for those who are passionate about traveling and exploring. However, a camping area on this cliff has become essential because of its particular relief, both poetic and preserved.. Many tourist groups not only come to conquer the white cliffs, but also decide to camp here.
The White Cliff is located directly on the Ma Pi Leng Pass, where the terrain is steep. About 160 km from the center of Ha Giang, right on the Ma Pi Leng pass, about 2 km from Dong Van and Meo Vac, the trail to the White Cliffs has long been a destination that travel enthusiasts and adventurers cannot miss. not to be missed when coming to Ha Giang.
Through the pictures, visitors get the impression that this place is a cave, but in fact, this area is only about 15-20 m2 wide, and it is stacked with stones and leveled, in the heart of the stone arch. From here, visitors can look directly at the beautiful Nho Que River and the winding Ma Pi Leng Pass with mountains and hills.
Nguyen Trung Duc – a long-time freelance tour guide in Ha Giang recently spent a night camping in this area with a group of friends. The set of photos recording the wilderness area, located among the cliffs, immediately caught the attention of the online community.
According to Mr. Duc, the place where his group camped was about a 40-minute walk from the motorcycle stop. There are 2-3 different ways to reach this campsite, but Mr Duc’s group chose to walk along the road from Pai Lung viewpoint to the summit. This path is quite small, slippery, foggy, and there is a deep abyss below. However, the route is crossed by iron railings, so it is not too dangerous.
Duc said that in the past, due to the nature of his work, he often participated in activities such as rock climbing, hiking in highland villages. He also conquered mountain peaks such as Fansipan, Tay Con Linh or trekking to Chieu Lau Thi peak; explore the Nho Que River… Therefore, this trip to the white cliffs is not too difficult for him.
You must bring warm clothes because the camping area is very high, so the night and early morning are cold and windy. This place has no internet, wifi, only wild, rustic nature and silence.
At dawn, you can admire the sea of clouds floating in the sky, the clear blue Nho Que River, the Ma Pi Leng Pass winding around the mountains. The landscape is as beautiful as a picture.
This campsite has a small area, so it is impossible to gather too many tourists, only around ten people. Therefore, if you want to camp here, you must check first. Visitors can observe from afar, if there is already a group.
