Da Nang Reopens Helicopter Tours to Discover the City
After a two-year hiatus, the city of Da Nang has officially resumed its aerial tourism service with helicopter tours, offering visitors a fresh perspective on the region’s iconic landscapes.
On July 3, a representative from the Northern Helicopter Company confirmed that helicopter sightseeing tours had resumed operations as of July 2, 2025. The aircraft used is the EC 155B1, a modern twin-engine helicopter manufactured in France by Airbus Helicopters, with a capacity of 10 to 12 passengers.
Two Available Circuits
Passengers can currently choose between two main routes:
- Basic tour (10 minutes): departs from Nuoc Man Airport, flies over the Han River, Linh Ung Pagoda, Son Tra Peninsula, My Khe Beach, and returns to the airport. Price: around 3 million VND per person.
- Luxury tour (20 minutes): follows the same route, with an added detour to Hoi An before heading back to the airport. Price: about 6 million VND per person.
Custom Flight Options
In addition to the standard tours, the company also offers customized flight packages upon request, including routes to Cu Lao Cham, Ly Son Island, My Son Sanctuary, and even Hue. These tailor-made options are designed for more demanding travelers looking for exclusive aerial experiences in Central Vietnam.
A Long-Awaited Comeback
The helicopter tour service was first launched in February 2015, but was suspended during the Covid-19 pandemic. An attempt to relaunch in 2022 was also quickly halted for unspecified reasons. This 2025 relaunch marks a new chapter for aerial tourism in Da Nang.
