Discovering the Golden Hotel in Hanoi
The hotel on the shores of Giang Vo Lake has 24-carat gold-plated exterior and interior tiles.
Dolce by Wyndham Hanoi Golden Lake Hotel opened in early July 2020. With 25 floors and 3 basements, the building with an area of over 2,230 m2 can withstand an 8-magnitude earthquake. According to the investor, the building with an investment capital of over 100 million USD.
120,000 square meters of the hotel’s exterior is covered with gold.
Inside, the lobby ceiling, elevator door… of the hotel are all covered with 24-carat gold, and the stair railing is plated with 18-carat gold.
According to the investor, the hotel has 360 6-star standard rooms. The standard room size is 40-48m2, the larger room is about 70-90m2. The most luxurious is the 184m2 Presidential Suite that can accommodate up to 10 people and the 170m2 Royal Penthouse.
Rooms start at about $250 per night.
All rooms are furnished with 24-carat gold-plated furniture and sanitary ware. Depending on the location of the room, the bathroom may have a view of the street or Giang Vo Lake.

The infinity pool on the 24th floor is 225m2 wide with a panoramic view of the capital. Guests are required to wear the hotel’s cotton slippers or barefoot so as not to damage the gold tiled floor of the pool.
The outdoor swimming area next to the pool also uses gold-plated tiles, faucets and shelves.
The hotel also has a 5-star restaurant serving Asian and European cuisine. In particular, the cutlery, spoon, bowl, plate… in the banquet hall are all golden. A meal consisting of two starters, one soup, three main courses and one dessert costs around VND 3 to 4 million.
The special menu features dishes such as Angus Ribeye, Whole Australian Abalone, Gold Coated Cakes.
