The best bars in Hanoi

As Hanoi’s nightlife develops, more and more trendy bars are appearing. Many of them follow a particular theme or specialize in some form of entertainment, food and drink. Here are some of my favorites, but do some additional research if you’re looking for something specific. Chances are you’ll find it in Hanoi.

Factory 47

Try it Factory 47 to entertain yourself by having a drink or listening to good music. Located at 47 Hang Buom , this trendy bar attracts a wide range of customers, from international travelers and expats to locals. Their brick walls, comfortable sofas, pool tables and long bar provide a refreshing atmosphere and invite you to relax after a long day of sightseeing and exploring the city.

If you miss Western cuisine, you’d better come on an empty stomach. Burgers and other delicious dishes await you and can be taken away with a cold beer or the bar’s creative cocktails. What’s great about this place is that it stays open late into the night for a bar, from noon to 2 a.m. (except Sundays, when it closes at midnight). In a city where most places are closed around midnight or even before, this is a plus.

1900 – The Theater

boite de nuit hanoi vietnam

If you want to know where to have a big party in the capital, the old theater 1900, The Theater Club will be the first name that comes to mind. This club enjoys the best location in the heart of Ta Hien Street.

From the outside this place looks quite small. But once you enter the bar, you will be amazed by the spacious area and sophisticated decor. Every corner of the club is a work of art. You can easily spot details inspired by Hanoi’s ancient and modern, such as old megaphones, the One Pillar Pagoda and traditional houses with their characteristic yellow paint.

Walking past the club in the evening, you might think that 1900 Theater is just a bar to relax, have a drink, and chat with friends or your date. But the real party won’t start until after 11 p.m. The DJs are impressive with many great tracks, from the biggest global hits to original songs. In addition, stage effects – stage light, confetti and smoke enhance the mood of your party until the end of the night!

Every month, the club often hosts a special event featuring popular DJs and Vietnamese celebrities. Each event typically attracts more than 500 guests.

Attic Cocktail & Wine Lab

Attic Cocktail & Wine Lab, which just launched in early May, has quickly become a new favorite destination for a night out in Hanoi. Hidden in the attic of an old apartment in Hanoi, the “Lab” impresses visitors with its nostalgic atmosphere. Other guests who visited the lab said that three things make the lab famous: delicious, eye-catching cocktails, the friendly bartender from “Team Handsome” and Mr. Tequila!

You can try the oyster smoothie, the lavender gin or just ask the bartender for a recommendation!
