Information about the Vuong family mansion
Vuong House is an architectural work built around the beginning of the 20th century. Until now, the Royal Palace of King Meo Vuong has existed for almost a century. With a unique and distinctive architecture. Vuong House was classified as a national monument by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in 1993.
The Vuong family mansion is located at the foot of a small valley in Sa Phin commune, Dong Van district, Ha Giang province. The total area of this mansion is almost 3,000 m2 and is located on an elevated block of land. The surroundings of the mansion are covered in mountains. This is considered a turtle shell terrain with good defense function.
Although it is hundreds of years old and has experienced many ups and downs, historical events. But the mansion is still preserved almost intact. History of Vuong Manor
The person who built this mansion is King Meo Vuong Chinh Duc. The reason why he was called King Meo by everyone was because he was revered as the leader of the Deer organization of the H’Mong people in Dong Van.
In 1890, he invited a geographer named Truong Chieu to find a place to build this mansion. And they chose Sa Phin as the construction site because it has a very favorable location. In the middle of the Sa Phin valley emerges a turtle-shaped hill surrounded by high mountains.
Vuong’s house was built from 1898 to 1903, when it was inaugurated.
The mansion was also built as a fortress to defend and protect the house. Around it there is a stone wall 60 to 70 cm thick, 2m high and surrounded by many holes. This architectural work has a combination and is influenced by 3 styles: French, Chinese and Vietnamese.

To be able to go to Vuong Palace, you will first have to go to Ha Giang. The journey from Hanoi to Ha Giang by sleeper bus will be about 300 km with 7 to 8 hours of travel. You can use a car or motorbike to go to Ha Giang.
