During the First 10 months of 2024, the main international tourism markets arriving in Vietnam have experienced fluctuations, with Korea becoming the largest country of origin.
According to data from theNational Tourism Administration, more than 14.1 million international visitors visited Vietnam between January and October, an increase of 41.3% compared to the same period of the previous year. Just in October 2024, Vietnam welcomed 1.42 million of international visitors.
In terms of market size, Asia represents almost 80% of the total number of international visitors to Vietnam. Four major marketsNortheast Asia – China, Korea, Taiwan And Japan – contribute nearly 60%.
Among the 10 largest markets for Vietnamese tourism, Korea comes first with 3.7 million visitors (representative 26.4%), followed by China with 3 million visitors (21.3%). Taiwan occupies 3rd place with 1 million visitors, THE UNITED STATES 4th place with 637,000 visitors, And Japan 5th place with 585,000 visitors. Other important markets include Australia, India, Malaysia, Cambodia And Thailand.
The National Tourism Administration estimates that major tourism marketsNortheast Asia are the main driver of international visitor growth. In particular, the number of visitors Chinese increased by 130.4% compared to the same period in 2023, while the Korea recorded an increase of 28.5%, THE Japan of 24.8%, And Taiwan of 59.4%.

Many tourist markets European are also developing, particularly those benefiting from unilateral visa exemption for stays of up to 45 days, implemented since August 15, 2023.
